Is A Vibrator Better Value Than A Dildo?

Is A Vibrator Better Value Than A Dildo?

To vibrate or not to vibrate?

That's the question on a lot of people's minds when choosing a sex toy. It's a good question when you consider that you can spend an extra couple bucks and get yourself a vibrator instead of a dildo, but how do you know what's better for you when a vibrator seems to give you some extra 'bang' for you buck?

I could tell you that it comes down to personal preference and call it a day, but being the sexual philanthropist that I am, I would rather explain all the differences to you so that you get the most 'bang' for your buck no matter which type of sex toy you choose. You can thank me later by enjoying a mind-blowing orgasm on me. *wink*

First, let's make the difference between a vibrator and a dildo clear. Both are usually phallus shaped but vibrator vibrates and a dildo doesn't. Very simple -at least until you have to choose one anyway. Ideally, I think we should all just have one of each anyway, but since not everyone feels the need to have a drawer—okay, a closet—full of sex toys, narrowing it down is possible if you consider a few factors which I will list for you;

Cost: For the most part a vibrator will cost you more than a dildo depending on not only the type or style but also if you factor in the cost of batteries.

Noise: Depending on your living situation you may not be in a place where any kind of noise from your sex toy is a good idea whether it be because of roommates, children or even your parents. There are also those of us who find the incessant buzzing of a vibrator to be distracting when you're trying to enjoy a little solo-play and drift off into your favorite fantasy while you play. Let's face it; when you imagine George Clooney entering you he's probably not going 'bzzzzzzzzz' in your fantasy. And some people just simply cannot concentrate on their pleasure when they're worried about how much noise their toy is making!

The vibe: While the vibration can feel great and be a hot little perk for some, others find the sensation from a vibrator to be too intense and prefer the smooth rub of the tip of a dildo or even just the soft touch of a finger or hand on the clit to be just peachy. Mind you there are ways to remedy that since most vibes offer high and low settings or you could use it over the panties to help tone down the vibe a tad, but most people either love the vibration or hate it.

Penetration: Yes, you can play the penetration game with both a dildo and a vibrator but if that feeling of delicious fullness is what your craving then adding some vibration to that likely won't make all that much of a difference to you. A vibrator is great for someone looking to enjoy the vibe on the clit or even other body parts, but it really doesn't make or break your enjoyment as far as a good, solid pounding goes! When it comes to wanting a toy that makes penetration even hotter, you're better off consider things like girth and texture than vibe…unless you're talking about the vibrators that come with all the bells and whistles like vibrating, rotating, thrusting, etc—that's a whole other ball game and article!

See, it really does come down to personal preference in the end, but if you consider all of those points in advance then it'll make it a whole lot easier to figure out where you should spend your money between a vibrator or a dildo. As yourself a few other questions like; will you be using it with someone else? What would they prefer? and you'll have your answer so that you can be on your way to tickling yourself pink with a hot new toy in no time!
